Yarnbombing

Binary Ape

*
Have you seen this?
*

People have been covering public objects with yarn.
*
One lady in California, who remains nameless spends 12 hours a day spinning and knitting these in East Bay area.
*
According to Wikepedia, it started in Texas as a use for leftover yarn.
*

>>>WonderMike<<<

*
I’d love to join in, except I have orders for 6 blankets to do first, so I’m not committing. XD

FEEL GOOD FRIDAY

The Girl Next Door Grows Up
Blog started this Feel Good Friday thing. Pick one of her prompts and write about it on your blog!

*
Last week on FEEL GOOD FRIDAY, I mentioned feeling disgruntled. Even after posting about good things, the disgruntled continued. (Gasp! Imagine.)
*
But finally, I heard some words about winning in your inner dialogue and letting others win in your outer dialogue.
*
My disgruntledness came from feeling wronged. And if I was honest I would say because I used that against myself to say I am unworthy.
*
A woman came to mind that I observed once. To me it seemed she was clearly in the ‘right’ yet, she said to another person, I see I wasn’t clear about this and she explained it differently.
*
I was shocked that she didn’t try to make the other person ‘wrong.’
*
So I decided to let the person I felt disgruntled about be ‘right’.
*
OMG, it’s been such a happy great week. I feel esteemed by that other person, which is what I wanted all along.
*
I guess this is what Rumi was talking about.

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I will meet you there.

*
Wanna meet?

HANDWRITING IS THE NEW BLACK

Babble on started this meme 4 weeks ago. I’m just joining in.

*

Basically you agree to write a snail mail letter to someone each week.

*

See here for her details.

*

Today I sent out letters to my father, sister, brother, two grandsons and a granddaughter.

*

I guess that catches me up a little since I’m starting four weeks into her challenge.

*

My mailbox

where you can easily sign some petitions for causes you resonate with.

*

Check it out, it feels good to take a stand. Today I stand against genetically engineered salmon and female genital cutting.

FEEL GOOD FRIDAY

The Girl Next Door Grows Up
Blog started this Feel Good Friday thing. Pick one of her prompts and write about it on your blog!

*

Being very disgruntled about things today means I NEED this meme today.

*

Five things I am happy about are:

1. On vacation I released another 5 pounds and now weigh 17 pounds less than I did in early 2010.

2. I easily fit into some previously tight shorts today.

3. I am feeling deeply contented and happy after visiting family.

4. Most of the mangos on my tree waited till I got home to ripen and my coffee beans are ready for me to start harvesting them.

5. Hubby and I are going for a swim. I love to feel the water surround me.

*

Have your best week ever.

Travel to Japan

Home on Monday, and I had a thirty page itinerary to go over from Esprit Tours and Travel regarding my upcoming trip to Japan.

*

It’s so many pages for two weeks because they pay such attention to detail.

*

This is why I love to use them. This will be my third trip to Japan that was orchestrated by them.

*

Besides having a deep appreciation for many of Japan’s treasures and making great recommendations; they tell you little facts like, there aren’t taxi’s in this area so arrange for one ahead of time or If you take this train you won’t have to change trains or how to find good viewing for a parade.

*

I can’t say enough good things about them. I wish you could all come with me.

*

I don’t receive any compensation for writing about Esprit, just the

extraordinary cultural travel experiences.

that they provide to all their clients.

Home at last

Last night, I arrived home. Hubby picked me up and I went to bed. Now, after 9 hours of sleep, I am human again.

*

My hubby even put clean sheets on the bed. I am impressed and grateful.

*

The house looks so uncluttered.

*

And hubby made the comment that now it’s going to have things around all over the place again.

*

Hmm.

*

I love uncluttered.

*

One problem I have is out of sight, out of mind. So I leave everything I am working on – out.

*

I have an opportunity here to do things differently.

*

So far, I put away two things in my room that were out the whole time I was traveling.

*

I am going to empty my suitcases by putting everything where it goes. This is instead of sorting it into piles that I leave until they age properly.

*

I think while it’s uncluttered, I’ll see what else I can put away before I even start unpacking. I saw two shopping bags near the door that I can put into my car trunk.

*

Then, I want to clean the house thoroughly.

*

That sounds like tomorrow. Oh yes, and catch up on blog reading. : )
