MY EXPERIENCES WITH CREATING ABUNDANCE — Wanting Things.

Plumeria

When you want things, ask for them for your highest good. What I mean is, that you want things that will be good for you, not the things that you are sorry you asked for, once you get them.

You can also add that you would like this thing or better. Once I did this when I was going to a writer’s workshop. I asked to get a publishing contract out of it, for my highest good of course, and I added, this or better please,  Address this to the universe or god or whatever is your source.

I came away from the workshop with an editor’s words in my ears that my story was the best thing she read that weekend and that it needed to be a book. I realized getting spurred on to write a book was better than having a story published. I did go on to write that book.

It is so comforting to think that something better is coming when you don’t get something. Perhaps the whole thing is a psychological trick to play on yourself. Whatever! It works and when you go looking for the better — you are likely to find it.

Also, consider adding for your own highest good and also that of all concerned. I find they are really the same thing.

MY EXPERIENCES WITH CREATING ABUNDANCE — Give A Little Extra

Plumeria

This week’s post is a sister to last week’s. This week the suggestion is to give a little more than is expected. It can be a little more of intangibles, like service or attitude.

It contributes to your consciousness of abundance. If you are giving a head of lettuce from your garden to your neighbor, check over the heads and give them an especially nice one. It’s win win for both of you.

Once I was putting a deposit on a workshop. I had an extra $5. with me and put the requested deposit plus the $5. It will make it easier when I have to pay the remainder, I thought. As it turns out, they were swamped with deposits, more than they could accommodate.

They accepted anyone who paid in full and the rest were left to a lottery — except, because I had paid that little bit more than, I was accepted.

Think of it, those businesses that give you a little more than, in service or quality or products. You notice. It feels good to be the recipient.

Consider trying this for your own good. It just happens to be good for everyone. I think that is often the case. What is good for you is good for all involved.

Have you had any experiences with this?

CREATING ABUNDANCE — A GENERAL LOOK

Plumeria

Once, I had the experience of rating the main areas of my life.

Finances

Health

Life Work

Social/Relationships

I rated them on a scale of 1 to 10, how I saw them in the moment. Try it.

Notice your lowest rated area. Sit quietly and listen inside. You know that phrase Let Go and Let God, or nature or a higher power. Do that now.

The more you can relax the easier it is to hear your inner wisdom.

With your breathing, focus on exhaling as completely as you can. The inhale will take care of itself.  Push your breath out as long as you comfortably can. Blow out imaginary candles.

As you continue reading, be aware of your breathing. Feel yourself relaxing.

What would improve your area that you gave the lowest rating?

Can you think of something to change about that area of your life?

Is there any new behavior you could try out?

What does this area have to teach you?

Is there anything for you to forgive? I’m not talking about forgiving any particular circumstance in your life, I’m talking about forgiving yourself for judging yourself in any way. Know that you always did the best you could, given your circumstances at that moment.

Right now is where it is happening. Stay in this place, stay in now. Yesterday is over. Abundance is not there. It is available here and now. If you are having trouble staying present with right now — observe the seat of your chair against your body, the temperature in the room, your breathing.

If there are a lot of challenges for you in your life now, there are also blessings. Everything is a blessing. There is a silver lining to every cloud. Even poop can be composted.

A big secret to creating abundance is composting the poop of your life and enriching your life with this fertilizer. If you have lemons make lemonade.

You are the perfect one for your position in life, the perfect CEO of yourself, inc.

Is there any little change you can make to improve your life? I’m talking small here, so small that it will be easy to do. For e.g. smile at someone, or take three relaxing breaths or turn off the light as you leave the room or any number of things that you think of.

Now rate these four areas of your life as they are right now. : )

Finances

Your Health

Your Life Work

Social/Relationships

I hope you find like I did, that they are better. For me, I had a headache and by the time I relaxed a little it was a much better rating.

Bless you. XD

FEEL GOOD FRIDAY – Projections

The Girl Next Door Grows Up

*

The thing that made me happiest this week was odd.

*

Last week I went ballistic when, in my perception, my husband negated my experience. I was raving.

Then a  writer I know, had her booklet translated into Japanese by her son’s girlfriend. Oh, I wanted that for my novel. Maybe it could be a hit in Japan. It’s about … well here’s the pitch –

Koh, is a boy kidnapped as a toddler by a rainforest band that has unique customs and world view. Koh, fascinated by strange people who live near the mountain, struggles to find where he really belongs and overcome strict taboos.

These include: remaining unseen, bypassing capture by warring bands, coping with betrayal by his peers and facing death. Eventually he comes to reunion with the family he doesn’t remember.

I didn’t even tell my husband and I went and asked the writer to ask the girlfriend if she would consider translating my book. Then I set to wondering how to pay for it, a lifetime supply of lei, my firstborn…

Alas, the girl said no; it takes too much time. She did it as a labor of love.

I wasn’t even upset, I felt elated and do you know why? Normally, I would have talked myself out of asking. I WOULD HAVE NEGATED MY DESIRE. And that is why I got so upset, when I perceived my husband as negating my experience because that’s what I do to myself. I am so happy, all I have to do is not negate myself any more and not project it on others.

Wonder what I will be like when I  deal with the gazillion other things I am projecting on him and others. : )

FEEL GOOD FRIDAY

The Girl Next Door Grows Up

Truth is, I was being weighed down by feelings of inadequacy. I felt too negative to post. Now, I just did a little get myself back together exercise I do, and I realize I was thinking that being negative is a catastrophe. As if my mother has her head in a guillotine and the blade will fall and cut off her head if I am bad.

And then I grouse at dh and judge my neighbors and myself and put pressure on myself to be perfect.

Luckily, my mother is safe. She died years ago.

And lucky, I forgive myself and realize, I am a spiritual being having a human experience and we humans do this stuff. This one does anyway.

So, no outer circumstances have changed, yet the world seems sunny again and I’m off to our local Cherry Blossom festival.

My feel good Friday a day late, not a dollar short, I hope.

Have your best weekend ever.

THE WOMAN IN 203

I’m on vacation and have turned the comments off. Thinking of all you readers, when I am not distracted by the beauty of family and friends. Have your best summer ever.

Kacey97007

*

I was 16 the summer before I went to nursing school. I worked in a local hospital, in the dietary department.

*

One of my tasks was to collect the menus from patients.

*

Almost fifty years later one patient stands out in my memory.

*

Why her of all the others?

*

The only time I saw her, she sat in a chair at her bedside table. She looked elegant in a long robe. She was slender, older and alone.

*

There was a single rose in a bud vase on the table and she was writing.

*

When I came in she looked up and smiled at me. Not an ecstatic smile, just  a fleeting hello, an I greet you as an equal and am mildly curious smile.

*

When I got back to the kitchen there was a big hubbub. The director had arranged for this lady to have frog’s legs for dinner.  A co-worker saw my look and said,

She’s dying.

*

She’s dying? The epitome of elegance. For my hair to look like hers would take a whole can of hair spray. If I wore a beautiful robe like hers, it would probably have a bleach spot or two on it.

*

I think the reason she has remained with me still is that she was in total acceptance. She was not trying to do or be anything. I think she was mourning herself purely, past the denial and bargaining. There was something very powerful in that place.

Energy

Plumeria

Want some energy?

*

Sensitivity to others energy is very high in this one.

*

When someone is ‘pulling’ on my energy, I notice right away.

*

In my own life, I am not always as upbeat as I would like to be.

*

In particular to my terrific acupuncturist.

*

While she is working on me, I unload all the current happenings in my life, particularly the challenges.

*

She is a superb listener and she gives excellent feedback.

*

Translated, this means, she doesn’t judge me and she doesn’t tell me what to do.

*

I love it and yet…

*

I judge myself for being too ‘nudgy’ and not upbeat.

*

So, I decided when I am there and doing what I still keep on doing, I will in a prayerful way ask for positive energy to come through me and spread out to her and the whole room.

*

It makes me feel much better. I don’t know if it is any better for her.

*

Maybe, it is because I stop judging myself.

*

Here comes dear reader, I am sending you a blast of positive energy. Have your best day ever.

*
